Mayhem in the parking lot

It is currently 08:07 Pacific Time on Tue Jan 24 2012.
Currently the moon is in the waxing New (Ragabash) Moon phase (5% full).
After a good night's sleep it occurs to the experienced Ahroun - while a normal drug dealer might be the humans' problem, one who sells blood is definitely skirting into paranormal areas. One who sells blood which seems to give heightened senses? Definitely something for the Garou to handle. Rori returns to the area to stalk the man and his van, and her patience pays off. While she's never able to follow him 'home', the area appears to be a regular hangout. He's there Thursday and Friday night, and again Sunday afternoon between 2 and 4. He doesn't appear on Monday, but Tuesday afternoon, just as the clock ticks to 2pm, the van chugs into the industrial complex.
[Visual aid! http://tinyurl.com/8xc8ql9 is the parking lot. Building is down and to the left (where it says Fire Lane). SUV starts in one of the spots closest to the trees.]
Rori checks around to see how active the place is in the afternoon. Business park during a weekday, it's not going to be deserted. She finds a spot to watch, waiting for a bit to see if he's approached right away.
About five minutes after the SUV backs into a spot at the edge of Sennas Industrial a woman exits the building and casually strolls over to chat with the driver. Perhaps ten minutes after that, another customer, this one from the building next door. The windows are still too darkly tinted to make out what's happening inside between clients, but during the exchange of goods they're rolled down about halfway. There appears to be only the one man inside, though of course it's hard to tell.
Rori strolls up after everyone else leaves, trying to give time for the regular clients to do their thing. She tries to note any security cameras pointed in that area.
The woodsy Garou doesn't notice any security cameras as she ambles up. As she approaches the engine starts up, the window sliding down a few inches. "Well if it isn't the party girl," comes the familiar rasp of the man's voice. The engine turns off again. "Didn't think I was going to see you again."
Rori glances inside to see if there's more inside and smiles at him. "Oh? That a good thing or a bad thing? Decided I liked what you were selling."
It's hard to tell through the few inches of clear view the man offers, but he appears to be alone. Maybe he doesn't want to share the profits? "Means I figured you got snatched up by someone else," is his answer. "So what you want this time? Same as last?"
Rori just smiles, trying not to make it look feral, but likely fails. "Nah, who needs the meth? Liked the other stuff. Got more of that?" Her eyes are active, checking out the interior of the van as much as she can.
The interior of the vehicle appears much the same as it did last week, at least from what little she can tell. Two rows of seats, one driver, a faint musty smell. He eyes her for a moment before scanning past the Ahroun. "Fifty," he says, taking his attention away just long enough to pull something onto his lap.
Rori nods at the other side. "You want me to get in?" She produces the $50, lets him see it, but hides it from random passersby.
There's a quiet metallic snick from within. "Nope." A moment later the vial appears at the window before withdrawing just far enough that she won't be able to easily grab it. "Pay up."
Rori smiles at him somewhat innocently, holds the $50 up like she's going to give it to him and then shifts suddenly to glabro. She punches the door where the lock mechanism is and then grabs the frame through the window and the handle to pull it open. Hopefully this happens too fast for him to block her. She uses some of that rage to push him into the back if she can get the door open.
As Rori bulks up into Glabro the man's eyes widen; he fumbles for something at his waist. Moving with supernatural speed she rams a fist at the door handle and grabs at the glass to yank the door open. Unfortunately the door sticks and she can't immediately pull it free. The man manages to get a shot off, the noise like a thousand thunderclaps at this range. It shatters the glass and either the bullet or the glass wings her arm.
Rori pulls hard on the door, not stopped by the bullet, her grin is absolutely feral at this point and she burns more anger to push him out of the driver's seat, climbing into the SUV and rolling up the windows.
With a final yank the jammed lock finally frees, metal shrieking against metal as the door squeals open. The man inside is moving in slow-motion, trying to bring his gun to bear again as the Ahroun shoves her way inside. He topples across the console, the metallic case bouncing off the radio and into the driver's side wheel well. Rori manages to shove her way into the driver's side, kicking the drugs farther under the seat and out of her way.
Rori reaches for his gun, tossing it in the back if she can get her hands on it. Bullets sting. Sure they won't kill her, but they're not pleasant.
Through Gaia's grace she manages to wrest the gun out of his hands, though he gets off another shot. This one bursts through the windshield, spiderwebs racing crazily away from the hole. She tosses it somewhere into the back while he, swearing violently in Spanish, manages to scramble farther across the console, his hands scrabbling for balance in the wheel well.
Rori puts the car in drive, one hand out to keep him out of her way as she drives out of the complex, the door swinging shut with her sudden acceleration. She growls low in her throat, a warning to be still.
He manages to get himself more or less upright as she gets the car into gear. As she reaches for the door to pull it all the way closed, he suddenly yells and stabs her with a knife. The blade slices into her shoulder as he, his own hands blurred with unnatural speed, manages to get the door unlocked and open.
Rori burns a rage to shift to crinos, launching after him with her teeth. A louder growl echoes in the tiny space as she goes after him. That movement made him fair game for ripping and shredding.
The quarters within the SUV are too cramped to give the Ahroun enough room - her jaws snap shut just behind the man as he tumbles out of the moving vehicle. The swinging door nearly slaps her muzzle, but she manages to pull back in time. He rolls and starts running for the nearest building, leaving Danger Magnet in possession of the vehicle.
Rori has the car in drive and her feet are surely messing things up, but that doesn't mean she can't hit the accelerator and mow him down with the car. She tries to do just that, trying to shift back to glabro as she's driving. That may take her several seconds while she's driving, but she's concentrating on running him down, more than shifting.
At 2:30 in the afternoon, there are enough cars in the parking lot that he's easily able to dart between two rows and escape her attempts at vehicular manslaughter. As he heads for the buildings, first one, then a second face appears at the windows. This has to be the most exciting thing that's happened here since the industrial accident.
[She shifts back to glabro, but she doesn't know if anyone saw her.]
Rori speeds up as fast as she can to catch him before he hits the buildings. She stays low in the vehicle, trying not to be seen, but she's not easily recognizable even in this form from homid so she continues. At this point, he's going down.
By wrenching the wheel Rori manages to yank the SUV up onto the curb and around the corner. The shocks bounce as she drops back onto the pavement, gunning the engine. The erstwhile drug dealer pelts straight for the doors, one helpful person holding it open while the others cheer. At the very last minute the bumper clips him, sending the man tumbling. He's no longer mobile, but the SUV is moving rapidly in the other direction.
Rori rolls out of the SUV while it's moving and tries to roll back to her feet. She runs back to the man, hopefully she can throw him over her shoulder and take off.
By the time Rori manages to get the door open and throw herself out, to regain her feet and refocus on where she left her prey, he's gone. She can just see him limping inside, arm slung around the shoulder of some Good Samaritan, as a woman rather defiantly closes the glass door. Two more people still stand at the wall of windows, cell phones in hand in the 'video camera' mode, while another has a phone up to her ear and is gesticulating wildly to whomever is on the other end.
Rori turns her face from the camera and turns and heads for the back end of the industrial center, through the trees and into the woods. Soon as she's reliably out of sight, she'll shift back to homid, finding a spot where she can hide and watch, even if from a distance.
As she Fianna heads off she can hear sirens approaching, and the crunch of a car crash. She manages to escape detection and reach the trees, mostly because no one comes after her. By the time she manages to find enough cover to safely shift and snuck back through the complex to where she can spy on Sennas Industrials, the police and ambulance have arrived. One of the cops is taking interviews, while the drug dealer is being tended to by EMTs. No one is around the ruins of the SUV, though someone's managed to get inside and turn the engine off.
Rori walks up like one of the gawkers, turning her coat inside out so the other side faces out, not perfect camouflage, but it'll hide the bullet wounds and the blood from the knife stabbing her. She watches to see if she can get close to the SUV without anyone noticing. If she can, she'll reach in to steal the vials of blood, don't want the cops to get their hands on those.
By skirting around the back of the building the Ahroun manages to avoid notice both from prying eyes and the less-tangible of human unease around a Garou. She chooses her moment carefully and is able to snatch the case without anyone being the wiser.
Rori disappears back through the outskirts of the crowd, though stays close enough to watch the dealer. How he's released, if someone comes to pick him up.
There isn't much of crowd, only a few gawkers from within the building, and most of them are either watching the EMTs work or being interviewed by the police. As she watches a fire truck pulls into the parking lot, its goal the SUV. After a short while the dealer is loaded into the back of the ambulance and is driven away, leaving the cops and firemen to deal with the aftermath.
Rori watches the ambulance, trying to figure which hospital he's being taken to. Eyes take in the aftermath, a frown on her face. This isn't going to go over well.
It only says "Columbia River EMT" on the side of the ambulance - no help there. Nor will she likely be able to question either the firemen or police, at least not without a lot of uncomfortable questions being asked. It's probably best the Ahroun withdraw, and hope those cell phone cameras didn't pick up the worst parts of the fight.
Rori disappears back into the trees, case in hand, still frowning. Didn't go well at all. She can check the closest hospital, but that isn't likely to help and he's not likely to be back. Now, someone who should be dead is running loose because she bungled things.
